This page is an introduction to who we are, what we believe in, and how we
came to be what we are today.

Beckenham Congregational Church moved to its present site
in 1875 and has been serving the local community ever since. The United Reformed Church was created in 1972 by the amalgamation
of the Congregational Church and the Presbyterian Church of England, joined in subsequent years by the Churches of Christ
and The Congregational Church of Scotland. We are delighted to report that Revd Nadene Snyman is now our Minister. We share her time with Christ Church URC Petts
Wood. We are members of Churches Together in Beckenham.
Our Mission Statement Our mission is to glorify God and to serve God throughout
our lives, always open to God working through us. We seek to share the good news of love, forgiveness and grace with all in
our local community through our actions and our prayers.

Our faith is expressed through
- simply presented worship, dignified but relevant to today's
world;
- a full, varied programme of activities within the fellowship to
weld it together as an informed, happy family;
- a lively concern for the
community and the world, shown in a rich diversity of caring and service;
- commitment
to a programme of prayer, giving and learning in the interests of the worldwide mission activity of the Church, this being
channelled through the Council for World Mission and Christian Aid.
